In 2003 my husband’s ex-wife died from a brain aneurism. His oldest daughter was turning 18 and chose to remain in Richmond, CA but his youngest daughter was 15 and had to come live with us. She had a lot of behavioral issues so I had to home school her. We spent a lot of time together and I got to know her well. She even started calling me Mom. I loved on her and taught her about God’s character but it was evident that she wasn’t raised with the same beliefs and principles that I instilled in my children.
Leap into Opportunities
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Romans 12:11
Instead of complaining about another mouth to feed, I prayed for God to show me ways to expand my business. God answered my prayers. In 2003 I started a publication called Atlanta Wedding Ideas. So many opportunities opened up for me. In addition to the publication, I also hosted bridal shows and networking events. I was very successful and able to help a lot of small business owners grow their business. If you search for Arba Tucker you will find my name all over the Internet.
